Risen

by Walter Dyal

/

about

My dad wrote this song some years ago and I remember singing this as a child. When I grew up and started really working on my CD's, my dad told me that I cold record this and all that he wanted was a candy bar. I thought it would be rather fitting and appropriate for my Dad to be on here as well.

lyrics

VERSE:
He carried the cross to Calvary to die there for you and me
An awful death because He cared so we'd have life eternally

PRE-CHORUS:
He died upon the cross. Be bore the shame alone
But now He has risen and gone home

CHORUS:
He has risen! Risen! Risen and gone home! Risen! Risen! Risen for you and for me!

VERSE:
They mocked His name they spit on Him.
They laughed and said he was insane.
They pierced His side as He hung on the tree.
All this He did for you and me.
