Dance Across The Universe

from Naked Heart by Walter Dyal

/

about

I have been on this 'Bride of Christ' kick lately, and, ironically, it goes hand in hand with worship. Ever wonder why when you walk into a worship service, the lights are dim and their is soft music? Well. When a wife worships her husband, things happen. When a husband worships his wife, things happen. Worship is my spirit crying out to my ''husband's'' spirit and our spirit's singing to each other. (Now, don't get the wrong idea here...This is Biblical!) Our relationship with God is like that of a boyfriend/girlfriend.

'Dance Across the Universe' is the first of 3 songs. In this song, God is courting us. He is wanting to date us. Show us His power. Show us His love for us. During the chorus, He extends His hand and gives us the opportunity to 'write a soft sweet melody'. The question is...are you willing to dance with your Jealous Lover who gave up everything for a chance to romance you?

lyrics

VERSE:
With the sun as our audience and the moon as our guest
The stars all around we will make this one the best
The practice done in secret it’s the moment now to shine
The whisper of the wind is keeping perfect time

CHORUS:
Come dance with me in fields of wild flowers
Where it’s just you and me alone and lost for hours
Across the universe we’ll write our symphony
And the music that we make a soft, sweet melody
So come dance with me

VERSE:
Creation is applauding your style and your grace
Mesmerizing angels commanding time and space
Galaxies are cheering urging you on
Waiting for the start of this never ending song

REPEAT CHORUS
